SmartBoard & Painting

A colleague of mine shared this SmartBoard site with me. http://artpad.art.com/gallery/

It allows you to "paint" on the SmartBoard via the web site. When I use SmartBoard's software to try and draw or paint, I get wonky results. This site offers several painting tools and a decent pallette. You can use it without the SmartBoard as well. I think it will serve me well til I actually buy something fancier.

Is a SmartBoard the same as an IntelliWrite board? My kids have them this year and they are amazing!

Oh cool. I bet the kiddos loved that! We had SmartBoards at the previous school I was at. They are great.

THey use smart boards at our school, well I assume they were saved from the flood water just before Christmas!

Looking at your snips it reminds me of a technique they got us new art students to do when we first joined college...
we had to paint a whole piece of paper with water based writing ink (not permanant)
then using a mixture of bleach and water we had to paint a dried flower...
easy you might think but you had to leave the subject in ink and remove the gaps with the bleach!
it was really tricky for us newby's to focus on the spaces in and around the dried flower, you where not allowed to draw it first either!

That is so cool, I'm sure the kids up at my wee one's school would love to do that.
