Scherenschnitte Candle Pyramid #2

Here's what it looks like in motion:

I'm still playing with the German Candle Pyramid idea for scherenschnitte. I've always loved those things and even remember the first one I ever saw. One of my neighbors had one and I fell in love with it when I was around eight. Snipping these makes me want to go out and buy a real one.

I really like your craft. It's awesome. I would never have the patience to do that.

Thank you for the comment on my blog. I will have to try to upload my video a different way this time.

Snip, these mobiles you're making are just gorgeous!! What kind of paper are you using?

Thanks, Pat. I'm experimenting with different papers. I had been using a thin, almost tissue like paper called "Dippety Dye" paper. The last one is regular drawing paper. I think I'll stick with the drawing paper now, as the other is almost too flimsy.

That is so beautiful! We have a German pyramid, which will be coming out of its box tomorrow - it's a lovely symbol of Christmas for me.

Merry Christmas!

Hey Snip, thanks for looking at my button mirror. How long does it take you to do a pyramid? Looking around at your awesome work, my favorite is the fall themed cutting with the tree branches and the child jumping in the leaves. Cheers--Diana
