Tired

The kids come back to school on Monday. We have "Open House" for them this afternoon. After 23 years of teaching, you'd think I'd have this getting ready stuff down pat. I guess I just always figure out one more thing that I need to do each year. If I had one more week before the kids came, I think I would be ready. For now, I am scrambling around trying to get everything done.

And I'm exhausted.

I'm still having big, big computer problems, so if you have emailed me or commented here and I have not responded, I apologize.

Then there is also that tired thing......

I understand completely! I am here alone right now as inservice doesn't start until 08/08, surrounded by a mountain of incoming PO's!

I am taking 4 days off next week before I start 'officially' Aug 1st

Hope your first days go well.

WHAT?! It's already time for them to come back?! Oh my. How come summer has gotten so much shorter? I remember going back AFTER Labor Day... what gives?

Well I've been visiting you here long enough to see the pattern. I just think it's always tiring to switch gears. hope you are having a good recovery weekend. Oh, I saw your twitter - hoping to see a picture of the bike when we get back!!

Happy birthday for the 19th! Sorry I missed your post the day before or I'd have wished it sooner... sounds like you need some energy, so I'll sympathise and wish some energy over to you from Oz straight away! I kind of feel that I have the year all the wrong way around now that I've moved into the southern hemisphere: it should be almost August in the UK which means a few short weeks of sun and heat before the leaves turn brown and you start racing towards Christmas, but instead it's the middle of winter here and in sub-tropical Coffs Harbour I've adjusted so much that I'm freezing cold and have the fire lit! Best wishes for going back to school: my daughter's been back for only a week. I'm taking a leaf out of your creative, crafty book and I'll be going in to teach class 1C papermaking in a weeks' time. Can't wait, but meanwhile I have some postings to catch up with on various blogs! Take care, Sara x
