"Vitamin I"

I turned 50 in July. That's fine with me. All the folks I graduated from high school with are 50 n0w too, so it's not my slothfulness nor lack of achievement that have gotten me to this place. I am not, however, so willing to accept aging lying down.

Hair color. I'm lucky with that one. I'm probably 90 - 95% still brown haired, though it seems that every week there seem to be more stands going gray. I don't think I'll start the dye process at any time because it seems so difficult when folks decide to go back to natural.

Weight. Ugh. Let's not even go there.

Aches and pains. Well, this is the area in which I am having difficulty. Yesterday, when I sat down to work at my desk, my back went out. I have no idea what precipitated that. My reaction to having back pain? 800 mg. of ibuprofen and 2 hours of thrift store shopping. Then a trip to the grocery store, whereupon I find a GOOD sale on the "good" canned vegetables.....which also had to be lifted into the cart.....lifted into the truck....lifted out of the truck....carried to the house....and put away. Heavy..........cans. Then on to laundry. Then composting. Everything but lying down and doing nothing. It's habit and refusal to just do nothing. I "do nothing" poorly.

I started this morning with another 800 mg. ibuprofen.

I need a nap.
OH........the photo is of my Granddaughter. My daughter sent it to me yesterday. My thoughts went from "Awwwwwwwwwww" to "Watch how you bend over like that!!!"

What a cutie, and it's so good that she has a grandma interested in early and preventitive back care!
