Shred

On Friday afternoons I have so many hopes for work getting done on the weekend.  As I leave school, my bookbag is always filled with work I dream I am going to get done.  So little of that work ever really gets done though.  Even my own plans for copious amounts of art work getting done fall short.

This weekend was fairly nice.  Chilly but sunny.  The snow is melting nicely though some yards in my neighborhood are still completely white.

I did get one snip done this afternoon.  It's another kitty snip.  Funny, but it looks so different in this photo than what I see in my mind's eye.  That happens now and again.  Looking at my work on the computer provides an interesting step back from my work.

I've been doing Jillian Michael's "30 Day Shred" for the past couple of weeks.  It has to be the most intensive workout I have ever done in my life.  It also keeps me feeling exhausted but strong.  Maybe that's where my subconsicous mind got the idea of snipping a kitty shredding a ball of yarn.  I need to go back and put bits of shredded fluff here and there.  That's a metaphor for my muscles, I guess.  Shredded balls of fluff.

WOW...this kitty looks like an angry shreddy cat! LOL. Like maybe he is on crack or something! LOL.

I doubt I would ever get any school work done on the weekend either...unless they were to pay me triple time for my work at that time! Ha ha ha.....

I've come to the conclusion that I'll get done .5% of what I write on my to do list! I still dream, as do you, of magical amounts of time to get everything done. :D

(PS. I've been doing the 30-Day Shred too- on and off... mostly off...)

I love the contrast between the spiky kitty hair and the smooth yarn.

I love the shred snip! And I hear you about having mountains of work to do and so little time for crafting. I'll be heading to your neck of the woods for a sabbatic year starting in June, and I do hope I can see you in action! Or maybe just meet for a cup of tea and commiserate about not ever getting anything done! ;)

I'm pleased you like the 'warm up' header, I did it for Echo's Juicy theme. I saw some cards made in silouhettes (sp) in a library last week and thought of your work.

your comment about things looking different in your mind versus the finished project rings true for me. i have the vision often, but am unable to transform it into the artwork i want to sometimes.
Any workout called shred is one I'm going to avoid! But cheering you on!
