Trying to take decent photos of my work has been a challenge. The only shots I have taken that I even partially like are those taken outside in the sun. Usually I want to take photos at night after I have made something, so that means that I take crumby shots in bad light.
Friends have sent me DIY light boxes, but inertia kept me from trying them.
M always laughs at my frugality and tries to get me to loosen my wallet every now and then. So he convinced me to buy a light box from eBay. $33. I told myself that my Etsy money is found money and so I can use it however I like.
So, here's my new light box.
Now I have to learn how to use it.

Very cool and useful "toy!" I'd like to try to make one some day.
I like the literary light stands. Try shining the lights through the fabric sides and top if you want to soften the shadows.
Oh, I am so envious! What great shots using it! I imagine the lights were already yours and didn't come with the light box.
