Christmas Gifts for Teachers

My daughter asked me what she should give my granddaughter's teachers for Christmas, so I asked my teacher friends on Twitter about their favorite Christmas gifts from students:
-2 favorite gifts...a very nice note about my class, framed!!!
And a gift card to

Starbucks w/ car mug! (from an art teacher)

-my fave teacher gifts: heartfelt note... gift card.... all time fave was a
home cooked country meal
(this was mine-art teacher)

-I absolutely love Dunkin Donut coffee.
So, a gift card to Dunkin Donuts is awesome...actually I think
I'll go get some now.
(from an art teacher)

-a card from both student and parent telling me how much I
meant to them. gift cards to movies, restaurants, book store
(from a math specialist)

-
fancy lotion coincidentally in my signature scent (would never
have bought it for myself),
an apron, holiday card with note.

-a hand painted scarf done by a student's grandmother (from a
classroom teacher)
-build-a-bear with student's voice recorded inside.
not practical, but I absolutely love it-on m;y desk if
anyone wants to hear.

My favourite gift was shortbread cookies from a mum of a kindergarten child. She made them and gift wrapped them especially for me with a lovely card. I felt very special that someone had gone to the trouble cooking for me. My kindergarten niece has got her teacher a big chocolate shaped into an apple with no.1 teacher on it. It is gorgeous as is her teacher, he is a gem.

It's always good to hear from teachers themselves what they'd like to receive, because we parents do like to acknowledge all the time and care they put into our kids!!
