Charlotte

Illustration for Jackie's challenge, "The Illuminated Phrase."

The poem is "Natural History" by E.B.White.

2.5" x 3.5"

Tomorrow is a teacher workday. The kids are on Fall Break for two and a half weeks. I celebrated by taking an hour nap after dinner tonight. Aaaaaaaaah, it felt good.

Fall break, lucky. I start my district mandated elementary art pre-test today. The kids are real excited about coming to art and having a test. Fortunately I don't have to count the test toward their grade, only mine.

Love this one too Jan! Great combination of your snip with the E.B. White! This is exciting, I'm going to use my quiet time this weekend to work on the project. You Rock!

Your cutwork (is that the right phrase) is so beautiful! I can't even imagine trying to do that.

I love how you've interpreted the Illuminated Phrase project and used poems as the background for your snips. A really inspired idea. May I steal it?

That is so cool! I don't think I've read much EB White beyond Charlotte's Web. I should look some up!
