My Sock Drawer

Welcome to my sock drawer. Yes, that is Napoleon Dynamyte peeking out at you. My daughter gave me a Napoleon Dynamyte tee shirt once and this tag was on it. I purposely put it in my sock drawer so that I would get a little surprise giggle every time I see it.

And those socks are clean, just dingy...dingee...dinggy? Why they make women's cycling socks mostly white, I have no clue.

Today is the most beautiful day you can imagine. I'm sitting out on the screened-in porch and the thermometer reads 80, but it feels like a perfect 70. There is a slight breeze. Just delicous.

We had planned on going camping this weekend, but it didn't work out. Instead, we went mountain biking this morning and will head to a mountain bike race this afternoon. ALMOST as good as camping. I really can't complain a bit.

This morning, Mark and I went mountain biking at Wakefield. It's right up my alley for challenge when it comes to mountain biking. Now your husband, brother, son who ride mountain bikes are all far better than me, but I love it at the level I can do it. Wakefield is kind of like a roller coaster; all of the fun and not a horrible amount of work. Now, PapaMark likes the mountain bike trail that is practically just a roll right out our front door. Me? It's a lot of heavy aerobic breathing, pushing the bike, cussing, and not much on the fun. I'm working on it though. I'll have to tell you the story about when I broke my tail bone riding over there sometime. (hint: Grabbing trees whilst going downhill is a very bad idea.)

Okay.....we're off for afternoon activities. Yahoo!!!!

Well you know I'm going to have to hear the rest of that story. We're going media free for a week, so I'll check back in after that and maybe find out why grabbing trees doesn't work so well. HeHeHe
