Did I mention that my iPod got stolen at school? During a fire drill the last week of school, my iPod Touch disappeared off my desk. Whether it was lifted by a child or an adult is unknown. It made me ill either way. Electronics are things that I buy with the pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters that I toss in a jar every night, and I have accumulated nowhere near the coinage to splurge on a new iPod.
That evening, I posted a note about the theft on my Facebook wall. The next day, a colleague appeared and gave me her iPod Touch. This fourth grade teacher said that she and her hubby had just bought new iPhones and that it left her with this extra gizmo. She handed it over to me. I was so floored! I had assumed that I would be podcast-less for months and months! (Mind you, if I am alone in a room, I am plugged in to my iPod.)
So. this snip is the front of a thank you note for her. This fairy momma/teacher just delivered baby girls a couple of months ago, so these twin fairies are in honor of her little sweeties.

Oh, a very sad incident turned happy! I am so very happy that you are back in business with another iPod. It will never cease to amaze me that someone would have no problem taking something that doesn't belong to them.
The snip is a perfect thank you :) And twins... so precious. My twins were my easiest children from birth to adulthood. Jill actually prayed for twins during her last pregnancy knowing it would be her last. Just a singleton however.
Hope you are really enjoying your summer break!
That's terrible that your iPod was stolen. But it's wonderful that you have such a kind colleague. I know she will appreciate your snip.
Oh, dang...there are good people everywhere! Love the snip you did for her...very nice indeed!!!
It makes you sick alright...whether an adult or child stole it...sad situation.
My ipod is always on in my art room and I must admit its loss is something I always worry about. Thank goodness for wonderful friends. Love your thank you gift how perfect.
What a lovely person to give you something you needed! Your teacher friend will love her snipping of the twins! It is perfect for her family.
