I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1979. Within a year of graduation, I had lost touch with my old roommates. We all got married; had kids; traveled the world; endured many hardships; celebrated many exciting and new adventures, and all unbeknownst to each other. I often wondered how the course of my friends lives had gone.
Enter Facebook. Within the last three weeks, I have found four out of five roommates, and heard tell about one more who I am happy to leave at a distance. Two of these pals are living in the DC area within ten miles of me! One even works for the same school system as I do.
The three of us got together for "lunch" yesterday. We parted ways at dinner time, five hours later. I haven't laughed so much in a long time. There were so many funny stories told about each other, many long forgotten by me.
It was fun to discover that we are all still the same as the three young girls from school, just a bit wiser.

So glad you got to spend some enjoyable time with your old roommates.
Hey Jan! I was looking through the videos on the other blog and found the Circle Painting video. I tried something similar with my third and fourth graders on Tuesday and it was so much fun! The kids absolutely LOVED it. I posted the photos on my blog and posted the link to Art Room Videos there, too. There is so much on that site. Just love visiting there.
hugs, Barb
