Gift for Charlene

My colleague and friend, Charlene, is always kind enough to loan me a little bike when my Granddaughter comes to town. She's a wonderful cook, much better than I could ever hope to be, and so a thank you gift of yummies is out. She is an avid reader, so I snipped this bookmark as her gift.

Here's how it looked before I mounted it.

Char is of Japanese heritage, so I added the lotus as a design element.

It's in the mail, Miss Char!

She will love it! I have scoured the internet and my saved alphabet images hoping to find a workable pattern to create the initial project you made for your granddaughter. I am thinking I might just have to design something myself. I'll let you know if and when I make it :)
