Here's a bit of pysanky that I made for my Granddaughter for this Easter.
The white egg is what it looked like before I dipped it in the dye. I've just put the design on with wax.
The effect with just one color and white is striking to me.
It seems that the electric kistka was a good purchase.

That deep blue must be the dye you were waiting for - and it's lovely. I have no idea what you do with a kistka, though - does it hold liquid wax and allow you to apply it through a thin nib? Just guessing really! Have a fun 'eggy' weekend, Sara x

Have you done any multi-colored layered ones? I saw a lady on TV who did them...I think she was on M. Stewarts show one time...it is an amazing art...so glad you are actually doing it and keeping it alive!!! This blue and white is sharp looking...crisp and beautiful.

These are all amazing! Even the light colored one. I like the single color too. It's very striking.
I love the before and after shots. The wax resist gives such a great effect!
