Thistle Snips

Though our yard is still covered in snow, the temperatures were in the 40's here this weekend. As the snow is slowly melting, I'm getting anxious for the arrival of spring. I'm starting to think of ideas for floral snips. Flowers and green leaves would bring joy to my eyes, so creating them out of paper is my good luck omen for spring. I'm tired of looking at brown woods and white yards.
M will tell me every now and then things that he wants from my Etsy shop. He is by far my most enthusiastic Etsy fan. (Too bad he can't leave feedback for me.) He said that he likes the snips that have a thistle design, so I snipped a bookmark for him. I will be ecstatic when I can start seeing the real thing outside.

thistles are one of my favorite flowers, but they are considered a noxious weed around here, and farmers can even be fined if they don't get rid of them.
anyway - i digress. i love your bookmarks!

I think Thistles are great to cut!! Great job. Yours are so lovely.

I personally find them beautiful. Funny that the wild beauty that nature provides is often rejected for daintier petals. huh...
