The Walking Pneumonia but no Boogie Woogie Flu

Okay, lest that bad title escape you, it's similar to the title of a song from the 70's.  But that's what I think of every time I think of the words "walking pneumonia."

Welp, I've got it.  It's been building for three weeks.  The first Friday I had laryngitis.  The second Friday my doctor thought it might be hayfever.  This Friday, walking pneumonia.  I think it is a lot less scary than it sounds to me, but still it makes me feel like  c.r.a.p.  Cough.  Sweat.  Freeze.  Sleep.  Cough.  Sweat.  Freeze.  Sleep.  I've spent the last two days on the sofa.

Anyway the newest twist to the whole shebang is hives.  The doctor says that this is one of the symptoms.  Lovely.

No gigantic complaints here.  I actually work with a couple of people who have CANCER.  And one of my blog friends is dealing with her little baby's cancer.  So just a minor bit of kvetching here.

I hope to be up to speed in a couple of days.

Get lots of rest. How about the snip of your granddaughter on her bike? I hate the whole argument about whether art has to be "deep" or whatever.

Oh NO, I'm sorry to hear you came down with all these symptoms.

Some kind of flu was starting up in our third grade this week. I hope it is not the dreaded H1N1.

Sure hope you feel better really soon.

Girl, what is it about us teachers all starting back to school and getting sick! Is it the old buildings, the ragweed, stress, the kiddos, or all the above. I have been sick the past two weeks myself. I have been taking liquid shots of Vit. C the past 2 days and actually am feeling a whole lot better!
Hope you are up and around snippin real soon!

My goodness! I had this years ago, and never had a fever, or cough...only severe stabbing pain in the side where my bra lays. It got so bad, i went to the doctor, and I guess it was forming there (a little infection)...not so bad yet as to cause any other symptoms! You sound like you are way far worse off than I was. I know you will be well in no time...the antibiotics work wonders! Thank God!
Keep us posted as you can...
Wishing you a quick recovery...oh and don't forget to eat lots of hot chicken soup!
Hugs...Julie

Jan,
What a bummer to pop in and find that you are not feeling well. I send well wishes and a speedy recovery all the way from Montana. Walking pneumonia is the worst- and not even an easy one to spell :)
