Having a Better Day

Things are going better today. Using empty eggs seems to be a better choice for me, as I am prone to dropping the eggs. With a full egg, one bounce on the floor or in the dye jar, might be its last. I get a lot more chances with an empty one.

I think I should just stick to free flowing designs for a while too. I'm more interested in doing them and I don't have the skill yet to do perfect lines that a geometric design requires. Eventually I might get there, but I'm not there yet.

Things are looking up today though.

You know, I don't think you need to concede anything. I think your eggs are great! And they keep coming: the whole bowl full of them looks wonderful and I am feeling slightly inadequate because I'm NOT making pysanky eggs this Easter! Sara x

I think we all agree you do these so wonderfully it would have been a shame if you had given up! They are like little jewels with their glossy varnish. I like both your free flowing designs and the more geometric ones you've done!

Thank you for your comment over on my Easter post, I am nowhere near as talented as you with your eggs, and I am flattered that you ask what I used for them, but to be honest I blew them and painted them with houshold emulsion paint...

I have far too many interuptions "mummy can I have...? and Mummy whats for tea!" that I cannot do anything that takes longer than 15 minutes! lol

I hope you had a fab Easter, and I look forward to your next post...

I do miss your snips, do you ever sell them?

X Alex

Do keep trying! They look so good.
Can you cheat and put something inside to make them stronger? I think I'd be tempted to try coating the inside with something like epoxy or just filling the whole thing with plaster, I dunno, does that give you any ideas?
