Yes. Most all of the schools in the area were closed. All of the roads leading into DC from Virginia were closed and thus would be a logistical nightmare, but also, I'm thinking so many folks would not have gone to school anyway since it was all so close. I wanted desparately to go. Some of my friends did, so I lived vicariously through them.
