Bless their little hearts. I felt so horrible by the time Art Club started, I just wanted to go home and lay down. The kids didn't get a lot more instruction than this: "This is Sculpey. It is a kind of clay that you cook in an oven. Here are some samples of geckos made out of Sculpey. Create one of your own."
They did get a bit more than that, but I wouldn't claim that it was instruction of any quality.
The kids seemed to enjoy it though.

Okay, here's proof that my brain is really tired. I looked at those photos I posted, and wondered why the water spots on that black paper haven't dried up yet. Duh.
LOL! They look wonderful and I bet they had fun too. We have a snow day tomorrow - YAY!!
They are fantastic, well done and I hope you feel better soon!

If you're looking for art supplies for the classroom, or even hard to find supplies, you might want to check out www.artsupplies.newsmartdeals.com for a great selection and deals. On this website you can bid or buy directly from the seller. I just thought this comment might be helpful to teachers out there. You're doing a great job.
We love sculpey around here. We discovered it's a great way to learn about blending colors. I'm so sorry you've been sick for such a long time. I'm hoping you're feeling at least a little bit better as you read this. It must be so painful to have to be on with so many children when you'd rather be horizontal. Sending you a big hug and a virtual cup of tea! I also want to thank you for your constant support. I'm so grateful and regret that I can't come visit as much as I used too. You're always in my thoughts and I get especially excited to see that you've stopped by. Your snips continue to amaze and delight me. You remain my paper-cut idol!
Wow, Maya. That was the sweetest thing to say. I really appreciate that. Smooches!!!
