Snippety Celita

My ATCs from Italy have arrived. These are from Celita, who in between potty training and chasing five little ones, gets her snip on.

I love how she tailor made this one for me!

This one was her first attempt at an ATC and I think she has caught the bug.

I love her snips as she has a style all her own. Check out her blog to see more of her snips.

People say this all the time, but it is just so funny how much better these little things look in person than on the computer. I thought these were cute when I saw them online, but holding them in my hand, they look so much more delicate and detailed.

Thanks, Celita!

I'm still snipping bugs. There's been a fair amount of interest in swapping these, so I'm trying to do a variety. I hope to get a fair amount of snipping in the next couple of days and hopefully, I'll do more than bugs and ATCs.

By the way, two blog friends named that creepy bug that I saw on the camping trip. One suggested that it is the Hummingbird Moth (thank you, Jackie!) and the other suggested the Sphinx Moth (thanks, Celita!) From what I found online, they're related. Both are often mistaken for baby hummingbirds. I can see why. The little fellow kept buzzing by my head (and freaking me out). It did sound like a hummingbird's wings buzzing. It just looked way scarier than a hummingbird.

Someone else asked me about the book I read on my backpacking trip, "The Girl's Book of Hunting and Fishing." It was a good "beach read" sort of book. It was fun to read and it kept me entertained. Sort of "Sex and the City-ish" without so much of the sex.

I probably won't post again until sometime after the holiday, so enjoy yourselves, my friends.

Such snipping fun. You must be in snippy heaven. I love the mouse/bicycle one! And isn't it fun getting international mail. It probably puts us on some Homeland Security Alert list.

Hi there, thanks for your comment which I just got on doubleelephant... we're OK - so kind of you to think of us! Michael has a torn artery in his neck and has apparently been SOooo close to dropping dead for the last couple of years it isn't funny. But now the shock has passed, he just has to take some medicine and sit tight (and do what he's told - that's the hard bit!) for 6 months and hopefully it will heal and he'll avoid an operation. Fingers crossed. You'll see from my 'daily drawings' he spent a while in hospital again! We are OK though: today was the last day of school for 2 weeks and we're going to have some great family time. Much needed, I think. Enjoy yourself, Sara xx
