I cut this tonight. It's of one of my favorite winter memories. When we were kids, we lived outside of a little town in Tidewater Virginia. We lived on a dirt road surrounded by trees. On snowy days, the dads in the neighborhood would tie long lines of sleds together and pull us down the roads behind their trucks. It was tremendously fun. I mostly remember being cold as heck and holding on for dear life. No helmets. No down coats. I only remember falling off my sled and being run over by other sleds once. It sure is a wonder we didn't get hurt doing that stuff back then. I guess the fear was half the excitement though.
I keep looking for photo opportunities that might make good images for my next Christmas card. Maybe this image will be my choice instead.
